It was during the 1904 season, on the 3rd of September, that this publicity shot was taken of �Chief Iron Tail� and �Sub-Chief Philip Blue Shield� at John O�Groats. They had travelled there from Inverness, in the company of Mr Frank Small, for this specific purpose. The photograph was reproduced in The Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald on the 16th of September 1904, and is referred to in two subsequent pieces of literature, but the image is not otherwise known. Similarly themed photographs had also been taken at Fraserburgh on the 30th of August.

As advertised in the Fraserburgh Herald, 6th September 1904
